Client: UCLA Health Systems

Project: Marketing Communications Materials

Challenge: Develop marketing communication materials for external and internal use by UCLA Health System board members and the health system’s website.

Strategic Approach: Compare and contrast with other top ranking hospitals to identify and apply best practices in communications approaches.

Tactical Elements:
  • Established a uniform voice with overarching messaging as it pertained to the health system while also undergirding hospital-specific messages.
  • Developed comprehensive fact sheets for all four hospitals as well as the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA for internal distribution as well as the website.
  • Developed key messages for UCLA Health System to reflect recent additions to the system, common attributes and themes, national rankings data, and innovations and technological advances that characterize the system as a whole.
  • Created a Q&A document intended for internal use only that addressed a range of topics and issues that board members and others might need to explain.
Other work:
  • Developed white paper to support the community engagement program of the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
  • Supported the opening of the UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica with media relations.
